GENERAL NOTES

1. The red deer stug, fallow buck and roebuck trophies are weighed 24 hours after they are cleaned.
   
   
2. If a trophy must be weighed and this 24-hours-term is not expired, 5% from the weight would be subtracted because of the moisture.
   
   
3. By the booking of certain trophy size is a 15% reduction from the hunting area permissible. This term does not concern the tusker.
   
   
4. If through the professional hunter's fault an animal is killed and its trophy exceeds in more than 15% the booked trophy size then the guest hunter does not accept this trophy and continues to hunt for his desired one.
   
   
5. Trophies, which are national record, will stay in the country. The guest hunter pays 30% of the value according to the pricelist and gets a copy of the trophy not later than 3 months after the end of the hunt.

HUNTING ARRANGEMENT

Arrival and departure

Our advice is to use a plane to arrive. There are propitious flight connections to Sofia at any time of the year. You can ask for more details at your local travel bureau or contact us. From May to the end of October there are many air charters to other country parts. During the deer rutting time in September this can be quite convenient.

An interpreter will meet you at the airport. He will take care of you up to your departure and will help you with all the formalities. The transfer from the airport to the hunting area and back is by car, minibus or by bus depending on the group size but always safe, easy and as quickly as possible.

 

Gun importation, export papers

You will be surprised how easily your arrival and departure can go. The interpreter settles all of the formalities for you. CITES and trophy export papers for the non-EU-hunters are settled by the hunting area after the trophy evaluation.

Accommodation and catering

Our accommodations are famous as very good and even luxurious. The lodges, which are located mostly in the heart of the hunting area, offer the typical Bulgarian cosiness. And the wine-vault with a fireplace is an irreversible part of this comfort. Our guests generally prefer the traditional Bulgarian cooking. But inasmuch as they have certain tastes or have because of health- or diet- reasons certain predilections then their wish will be granted by the host.

Trophy evaluation

A state committee in Bulgaria evaluates the trophies. Usually that is accomplished in front of you in the hunting lodge. Afterwards the Hunting protocol is filled in and signed. You must write all your complaints in the protocol. Any further complaints will not be valid.

Currency provisions

The national currency is Lev (Euro 1 = Lev 1,95583). The foreign currency import and export is unlimited but must be declared. Should you wish to exchange currency for your running expenses you'd better leave that to your interpreter who knows the practice in the country.
