Bulgaria is already worldwide famous as a classic country for red deer and wild boar hunts. The red stag world record according CIC comes from Silistra and is 273,6 points CIC. Every year the greatest part of the capital trophies with over 250 CIC pts are shot in Bulgaria. The world record tusker (158.20 points CIC) is shot in Kormisosh. The world record wildcat (fur) - 82.99 points CIC - belongs to Bulgaria too.

Our hunting areas in alphabetical order:

  • ARAMLIETZ // red deer, wild boar, mouflon, roe deer, predators (wolf)

    The hunting ground lies in Sredna Gora (foothills of the Balkan range), 30 km southeastern from airport Sofia, and spreads over a total area of 10.500 ha. This is terrain with low hills and mainly broad-leaved trees (oak, beech, hornbeam).

     

    It is amazing that you can find so good and rich game stock near Sofia. The hunting success for tusker, mouflon and roe buck is guaranteed. Red and fallow deer game as well as small game can be hunted too. Trout fishing is also possible.

     

    The guests are accommodated in luxurious hunting lodge, set in the forest. It offers 5 double rooms with shower/WC and a room with fireplace.

  • BALCHIK // small game (birds), roe deer, red deer, mouflon, wild boar, fallow deer

    The hunting area BALCHIK is situated in the southeastern part of Dobrudzha Plain with an average altitude of 150 m. It borders Romania to the north and Black Sea to the east.

    The proximity to Black Sea results in a mild climate and the snow cover rarely lasts more than 5-6 days.

    The total territory is 132 041 ha, 7 495 ha of which is the big game hunting area. Most of it is located in the Batova River valley, very close to the Black Sea resort “Albena”. The distance to Sofia is 450 km, and 45 km to Varna Airport.

    The hunting lodge is located in the central part of the Hunting Area. It’s very cozy and nice place and provides 4 bedrooms with their own Du/WC, a large dining hall with fireplace and fantastic garden.

     

    The common game species are: red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar and mouflon.

    The heaviest red deer trophy (19.100 kg) has been gained in the region of “Balchik”.

    Mouflon with horns length from 82 to 84 cm and wild boar tusks with a length from 24 to 26 cm have been shot; the finest roe deer trophy has been evaluated to 148.3 CIC points.

     

    The area is specialized in the small game hunt. From August to October there are large passages quails and doves. In November and December comes the woodcock (bekass). And in January the big lakes connected to the sea are home for lot of geese and ducks.

  • BOROVO // red deer, wild boar, chamois, brown bear, capercaillie

    Borovo along with Kormisosh is the most popular area in the Rhodope Mountains. It lies in the Western Rhodopes and has the surface of 15.200 ha. The typical terrain is mountainous and it is rugged and uneven in some parts. The average elevation above sea level is approximately 1.300 m. Deciduous and coniferous forests cover 95% of the whole territory.

     

    The hunting for red deer, wild boar, chamois, bear, capercaillie, roe deer, predators is very successful.

     

    Borovo has one hunting lodge with 6 double rooms and 1 apartment available. Each room has shower/WC. The service is unexceptionable.

  • CHEKERITZA // small game (roe deer, pheasants, grey and rock partridge, hares and doves)

    TSCHEKERITZA, a typical small game hunting ground, is situated in the northeast of the second in size Bulgarian town Plovdiv. It spreads over an area of 13.275 ha. The terrain is flat, with deciduous forests predominant.

     

    The aviaries offer ca. 10000 pheasants and 1200 grey and rock partridges yearly. so this are the main hunted species in this wonderful area.

     

    The dove hunting at the end of August is very successful too. 50 doves per day for a hunter can be easily shot.

    And also about 150 hares and 20 roe bucks are shot per year.

    Roe deer stalking and battue hunting with dogs are also arranged.

     

    The region has 2 very luxurious hunting lodges with first-class service available.

  • CHEPINO // red deer, wild boar, chamois, brown bear, capercaillie, roe deer

    The hunting area TCHEPINO is situated in the place „Chechlyovo“ in the west parts of the Rhodopy-mountain, about 25 km from the resort Velingrad and 130 km from the capital Sofia.

     

    The whole territory is 34.481 ha and is typical mountain relief from 800 up to 2200 m. 90 % is the forrest mostly coniferous.

    Game species: red deer, wild boar, chamois, brown bear, capercaillie, roe deer;

     

    We do here very good combo hunts for capercaillie, roe bucks and good trophy wild boars. It's very nice typical mountain walk/stalking hunt. So we shoot here yearly about 15 capercaillie, 40 trophy roe bucks, 5 trophy red deers and 200 wild boars.

     

    The accomodation is in the place „Kara tepe“, in very good bungalows with all the comfort for the guests – living room, 4 DR each with separate Du/WC.

  • CHERNI LOM // red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, predatory animals (wolf) , roe deer

    The distinguished area TSCHERNI LOM which has a total area of 130.000 ha, lies round the town of Popovo in Northeastern Bulgaria. Forests cover 28 000 ha of the area. The agricultural fields with maize and other crops cover a high percentage of the land as well. The terrain is rolling. The elevation above sea level is from 125 m to 486 m.

     

    Although TSCHERNI LOM has became famous for its red stag hunt many other game species (as mouflon, fallow deer and roe deer) are successfully hunted in the region. The red deer hunt in the rut period is of course something very special here. This is the only one FREE RANGE area in Europe, where we get EVERY year some (not one) trophies over 12 kg. The excellent abundance of food and the permanent preservation of the game ensures the high quality of the trophies in the area.

     

    Last year our guest hunters shot 23 red stags, 4 fallow bucks, 5 wolves, 130 heads of wild boar. Predatory animals are very successfully hunted for the past years. The hunting of wolf, wildcat and jackal is particularly emotional.

    We do every year also 2 very well organized and successful driven hunts for wild boars and the big trophies are not rare.

     

    TSCHERNI LOM has 3 hunting lodges available: "Elenovo", "Goliamo Gradishte" and "Slavianovo". All the three of them are very large and luxurious and offer high-leveled catering and service.

  • DIKCHAN // red deer, wild boar, mouflon, fallow deer, capercaillie, roe deer

    DIKTSCHAN lies between the Mesta River's valley and the Dospat Dam Lake and covers a total area of 20.000 ha. The region is with an average altitude of about 1.100 m. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory. The deciduous forests predominate.

     

    The southern position of the region affects the growth of the mouflon game stock. At least 3 mouflon bucks with trophy length over 80 cm will be available for hunt this year. The red deer, fallow deer and wild boar populations are also very good. 10 to 12 capercaillies are shot yearly too. We organize here also very good driven hunts.

     

    DIKTSCHAN has 2 completely new hunting lodges with 9 double rooms each. Each room has its own shower/WC. Board and service are very good.

  • DUNAV // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, predators, small game

    The hunting area DUNAV is located in the eastern part of the Danube River Valley. The landscape is hilly to flat and the altitude varies from 344 m in the uplands near Tsarevets village to the modest 15 m on the islands along the Danube River. The area is about 320 km from Sofia Airport and 200 km from the airport of Varna.

     

    The main game species are red and roe deer, wild boar, hare, pheasant and partridge, wolf, jackal and fox. The good climatic conditions and the excellent nutrition base favour the shaping of trophies of high quality within the big game populations. Among the best trophies collected here are those of red deer (13,5 kg and evaluated to 250 CIC points), roe deer - 505 gr and a wild boar with more than 220 CIC points.

     

    But we want to point your attention to the red deer and roe buck hunt. The rut period of the red deers starts in the beginnig of September and until the first days of October we shoot with our hunting guest about 20 very good trophy stags. The best time for the hunt of good old roe bucks is in May.

     

    The hunting area DUNAV has two hunting lodges, which offer full accommodation for 20 hunters, excellent conditions and service. The hunting lodge in the locality of "Teketo" is only 15 km from the town of Ruse, while the one in "Batakliata" is about 36 km from this lovely town on the Danube.

  • GRAMATIKOVO // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon, small game, predators

    State Hunting Area “Gramatikovo” is located in the south-east part of Bulgaria. In the South is the border with Turkey and in the East lies the Black sea. The territory is part of the Strandzha Mountain, covered with magnificent oak and beech forests. The distance to Burgas Airport is only 95 km and about 500 km to Sofia Airport. The terrain is hilly to mountainous with low smooth ridges separated by deep gullies. The highest point in the region is the peak in Telcharnika countryside – 487 m above sea level, and the lowest – just 45 m, nearby the picturesque Veleka River. “Gramatikovo” comprises a hunting area of 31 038 ha, 21 071 ha of which are forests.

    The variety of hunting species in GRAMATIKOVO is large. We hunt successful for red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, wolf, fox, jackal. Very good organized are the driven hunts for wild boar. Also we meet here every year many hunters for small game – wood cock, duck, geese.

    State Hunting Area “Gramatikovo” offers its guests several hunting bases.

    Hunting lodge “Kachul”, situated on Veleka River bank in Kachul countryside, provides 6 double rooms, an independent kitchen with a dining hall and a folk-style recreation spot. A forest nursery and an arboretum of rare and exotic species are located nearby.

    Hunting lodge “Dudenovo”, stretching over “Dudenovo” countryside, has 4 independent buildings with 2 bedrooms, air-conditioning and a satellite television, a dining hall and a resting spot. The sauna and the steam bath are located In a separate building.

    Hunting cabin “Petrova Polyana” is situated near the village of Kalovo and it has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dining hall offering traditional Bulgarian recipes and an excellent cuisine.

    Besides hunting opportunities, “Gramatikovo” offers attractive routes for photo hunting and ecotourism.

  • IZVORA // red deer, wild boar, mouflon, chamois, brown bear, capercaillie, roe deer, fallow deer

    The ground is located in the Middle Rhodope Mountain and spreads over a total area of 9.370 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous and it is rugged and uneven in some parts. The elevation above sea level is from 800 m to 1800 m. Deciduous and coniferous forests cover 95% of the whole territory. The coniferous forests predominate.

     

    Red deer, wild boar, mouflon, chamois, brown bear, roe deer, fallow deer, predatory animals are successfully hunted in Izvora.

     

    In IZVORA the guests are accommodated in 2 hunting lodges with 9 double rooms. Each room has its own shower/WC. The hunting lodge is very large and offers unexceptionable service.

  • KARAKUZ // small game (birds), roe deer, red deer, wild boar, predators

    The state hunting area "KARAKUZ" is situated in the Danube River Valley - in the hilly South Dobrudzha region and on the northern slopes of low mountains. The distance to the capital Sofia is 450 km from and only 130 km to Varna Airport.

     

    The hunting territory is 19 388 ha. A vast low hilly plain with a gentle northern slope occupies most of the area. The forests form complexes and massifs separated by cultivated lands. Turkey oak and lime are the dominant tree species, which determine the natural vegetation in the region.

     

    The most important hunting species include red deer, roe deer and wild boar from the big game and hare, wood cock, geese, ducks, pheasants, pigeons and quail from the small game. There are also a lot of predatory animals here - foxes, jackals, wild cats and wolfs.

     

    Trophies of red deer, roe deer and wildcat have won national and international fame for "KARAKUZ". The world red deer trophy record of 273.6 СІС points has been recorded here in 1988.

     

    There are some very good accomodation possibilities in the area: 2 hunting lodges and a small family hotel. It depends, in which part of this huge area, we're going to organize your hunt.

  • KORMISSOSH // red deer, wild boar, mouflon, chamois, brown bear, roe deer, predatory animals (wolf)

    The region lies in the Middle Rhodope Mountain and covers a total area of 24.200 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous and is rugged and uneven in some parts. The elevation above sea level is from 380 m to 2 001m. Deciduous and coniferous forests cover 95% of the whole territory.

     

    Red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, chamois, brown bear, capercaillie, roe deer, predators are successfully hunted in Kormisosh. The success rate in the last 3 years is more than 90%, which is quite impressing.

     

    KORMISSOSCH offers 3 hunting lodges with 15 double rooms total. Each room has its own shower/WC. All three hunting lodges are very large and the service is unexceptionable.

  • MAZALAT // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, brown bear, predators (wolf), small game

    The state hunting area "MAZALAT" consists of two parts. The one is typical for big game hunt and the other for small game hunt.

     

    The first part is situated in the southern declivities of the Middle Balkan Mountain. The terrain is typical mountainous, predominate the broad-leaved forests. Hunts for red deer, wild boar, brown bear and roe buck are arranged in the region. The hunt for big old roe bucks and wild boar tuskers is really worth here. This is also one of the few areas for the brown bear hunt, but the license are only one or two for the year. We have also very good successful quote in the wolf hunt and in the hunt for another predatory species.

     

    The second part lies in the Trakia Plain next to the town of Stara Zagora. The region is ideal for small game hunting - pheasant, partridge, rock partridge, duck and hare. In august and september we hunt also quails and doves.

     

    There are two hunting lodges - one in the small game area and one in the big game area. Both can satisfy all the needs of the hunter.

  • MIDJUR // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, predatory animals, small game

    The region lies in the Western Balkan Mountain and has the surface of 19.500 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous, predominate the broad-leaved forests. Red deer buck (up to 9 kg), tusker (up to 24 cm) and roe buck (up to 350 g) as well as predatory animals (wolf, fox, badger) are hunted here.

     

    Midjur has 2 hunting lodges with a total of 5 double rooms available. Each room has shower/WC. Catering and service are very good.

  • MOMINO // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon, small game, predators

    The hunting area “Momino” is located in the northeastern part of Bulgaria in Targovishte district and extends over an area of 2500 ha. It is located 320 km northeast of Sofia and 130 km west of Varna.

    The hunting area “Momino” combines the natural beauty with flawless and rational management and service, which is unique prerequisite for the development of population, that possesses excellent trophy characteristics. The symbol of the hunting area is the red deer. Each year elite trophies of this kind are being bagged and they traditionally receive gold medals. The hunt for roe deer and wild boars is also very successful because of the good population.

    The hunting lodge is middle in the area and is well known for the extraordinary symbiosis between luxury, comfort and a cozy environment which are guaranteed by first-class service. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 double rooms, 2 rooms with 4 beds, lounge – dining room with fireplace and kitchen. All rooms have private bathrooms.

  • PALAMARA // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, predatory animals

    Both PALAMARA and Sherba are the first hunting grounds in Bulgaria founded long ago in the year of 1932 by the Tsar of that time Boris II.

    Today PALAMARA is a seat of the red deer game stock in Bulgaria. About 40 to 60 red deer animals yearly are moved to other hunting areas.

     

    Palamara lies in the Northeastern Bulgaria in the heart of the "Ludogorie" region and has an area of 7.500 ha. From it 5.000 ha are covered with broad-leaved forests (oak and beech predominant) and 2.500 ha are covered with agricultural fields (maize and crops). The terrain is flat-to-rolling with an average altitude of 350 m.

     

    The great number of big game on such small territory is based on the abundance of food. According to the last game counting from the spring of 2002 we have in Palamara ca. 690 heads of red deer, ca. 180 heads of wild boar and 70 heads of roe deer. 15 - 20 red deer stags with trophies ranging from 6 to 13 kg, 10 - 15 tuskers with trophies ranging from 4 to 25 cm and 5 roe bucks with trophies ranging from 250 to 450 g are shot yearly.

    Very successful are the individual hunts for red deer (stags, hinds, fawns), the driven hunts for wild boar and the predatory animals chase (wildcat, jackal, fox).

     

    PALAMARA has 3 hunting lodges available - the main lodge "Palamara" (1 apartment, 4 double rooms, 1 single room), hunting lodge "Dabrava" (4 double rooms) and hunting lodge "Nikola Kozlevo" (4 double rooms). Each room has its own shower/WC.

  • PRAVEC // red deer, fallow deer, mouflon, roe deer, wild boar, predators, small game

    The PRAVEC Reserve is located on a strongly rugged terrain. The woods are mixed: deciduous and coniferous forests, with prevailing deciduous trees , such as beech-tree and oak tree. The reserve was established in 1971 and has a long hunting history. Few years the area was closed for guest hunters. After the new re-opening in season 2007, we hunt there very successful for:

     

    - mouflon (every year torphies over 90 cm);

    - wild boar (very well organized driven hunts with lot of game in there);

    - fallow deer (we expect trophies about 5 kg in the coming season);

    - red deer (very good population and very good rut period);

    -Selection hunting of all types of game;

     

    There are two accomodation possibilities in the area: the residence and the new hunting lodge. The residence offers seventeen luxurious rooms and suites, catering hall, conference hall, meeting room, trophy room and living room. Spa includes: Turkish bath, sauna, shocks swimming pool and massages. The Lodge is build with very much style and comfort for small parties and offers 4 rooms.

  • RODOPI // red deer, wild boar, chamois, capercaillie, roe deer

    The state hunting area Rodopi is situated in the Middle Western Rhodopes and covers a total area of 20.000 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous, rugged and uneven in some parts. The average elevation above sea level is approximately 1500 m. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory and 90% of them are coniferous forests.

     

    Red deer, wild boar, chamois, capercaillie, roe deer are successfully hunted in the region. The tusker trophies are especially valuable and beautiful here. In the area is maybe the best population of capercaillie in the country.

     

    Rodopi offers accommodation in one very good hunting lodge with 8 double rooms and excellent service. The lodge is placed directly in the hunting territories. Each room has its own shower/WC.

     

    The Area offers also lake and river fishing on trout. The world Balkan trout record of 81 points (11.3 kg) was caught in one of the ponds within the territory of the Hunting Area. Ecotourism and photo hunting are additional attractions for the guests.

  • ROPOTAMO // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon, small game, predators

    The National Hunting Ground “Ropotamo” is situated about 45 km south from Burgas. The territory of the hunting area forms part of the North East region of the mountain Strandzha. This hunting ground has the same name as the River Ropotamo passing by. The surface is about 16.610ha.

    The region is characterized by a low hilly relieve, being the peak “Lobodovo kale”, 315m above the sea level the highest point of the territory. As the area is situated close to the Black Sea, the climate is smooth and humid. The winter is mostly warm compared to the interior of the country and the average temperatures rarely are falling below 0o degrees. These weather conditions suppose a long vegetative period for the plants and are favorable for the game abundance here.

    The local flora is varied (oak, hornbeam, etc.) Near the river there is a typical longoz forest. The main hunting species we hunt here are red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, roe deer and mouflon. Something typical for the local red deer is a great body weight of up to 350 kg and a solid dark antlers, covered with numerous pearls. A record for “Ropotamo” is the red deer trophy evaluated to 250 CIC points, with a weight of 14 kg. The fallow deer trophies reach a weight of up to 4.7 kg and the national trophy record, shot here, has been evaluated to 212 CIC points. One of the most attractive hunting species is the wild boar, which weight here reaches 250 - 300 kg. Predator species include wolf, fox and jackal.

    “Ropotamo” provides a hunting lodge in “Arkutino” countryside and a lodge at the seashore in the town of Primorsko. In addition to hunting opportunities, the Hunting Area offers its guests ecotourism and photo safari around Ropotamo River outflow and in the protected areas with typical dense forest, as well as sea and river fishing.

  • ROSSITZA // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, brown bear, predators (wolf)

    State Hunting Area ROSSITZA is situated about 220 km from the capital Sofia, on the northern slopes of Central Balkan range which are covered with centuries-old beech forests and succulent mountainous meadows, cut by valleys and gullies. Its total area is about 17 000 ha and the relief is typically mountainous to alpine. The altitude varies from 350 to 1850 m.

     

    State Hunting Area ROSSITZA offers hunt for red deer, wild boar, roe deer, brown bear and predators. The driven hunts are very good organized and with the best  success quote for the free range areas. We enjoyed also the roe buck hunt very much. We got on average by stalking more than 2 bucks per hunter this season.

     

    The lodge is new renovated and very comfortable with the 9 rooms for the guests. The service and the kitchen are excellent.

     

    The Hunting Area offers horseback riding, photo hunting and ecotouricm. Towns, rich in history and interesting tourist sites, are located nearby: Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Lovech, “Troyanski” and “Dryanovski” Monasteries.

  • RUSSALKA // red deer, wild boar, brown bear, roe deer, predators (wolf)

    The region's former name was Apriltsi. It lies in the northern declivities of the Middle Balkan Mountain, below its highest peak Botev (2376 m). Rusalka has the surface of 8.500 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous, rugged and uneven in some parts. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory, predominate the virgin beech forests.

     

    The hunting success rate for red deer, wild boar, brown bear and roe deer is very high in this area. The tusker and bear trophies are especially valuable here.

     

    Rusalka has one very luxurious hunting lodge with 3 apartments and 4 double rooms available. Each room has its own shower/WC. High-leveled service is provided.

  • SESLAV // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, small game, predators

    Hunting area “Seslav” is situated in Northeast Bulgaria, 350 km from Sofia, 50 km from Russe. The nearest airport is Varna – 150 km.

    Its total area is about 32 255 ha and divides in two big parts. Its hilly and mostly with broad-leaved forest. The hunting of red deer, wild boar, roe deer and predators (wolf, fox, jackal) I very successful. The small game hunt I also very good – peasants, hares, partridges.

    The best red deer trophy is 13.6 kg and has СIС 238 points, roe deer – 539 g and CIC 148 points, wild boar – 32 cm.

    The hunting area has two lodges. Hunting lodge “Pheasant” is in the middle of the forest and near one not very big lake. It has 1 apartment, 4 double rooms, a dinning-room, a fireplace- room and a barbeque. In front of the lodge there is a big terrace with a view to the lake.

    The hunting lodge “Elen” (red deer) is also placed on the coast of a lake and has apartment, 2 double rooms with terraces with perfect view to the lake, 1 single room, a dinning- and fireplace-room. All of the rooms have air-conditioners. There is a big terrace on one side of the lodge with a view to the lake.

    The Hunting Area offers fishing, photo hunting and ecotourism. In der Freizeit kann man auch noch angeln, wandern und Fotojagd machen. Towns, rich in history and interesting tourist sites, are located nearby, for example the archaeological area “Sborjanovo” and the rock monasteries near the village Ivanovo.

  • SCHERBA // red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, predatory animals, small game

    SHERBA (together with Palamara) was the first one Bulgarian hunting area. It was founded in 1932 by the Bulgarian king at that time Boris II. The territory had been specially selected. The natural ambience and the favorable weather conditions were crucial for the game abundance here.

     

    SHERBA is situated in the northern slopes of Balkan mountains and about 40km from Varna’s Airport. This hunting ground has a total area of 13.500ha. The terrain is not very mountainous. It is covert in its most part by board leaved forests.

     

    In SHERBA hunting of red stag, fallow deer, wild boar, mouflon, predators (wild cat, jackal, fox) and small game (woodcock, pheasant) is always very successful.

     

    The region offers to all guests one of the most beautiful and comfortable hunting lodges. The building is massive and impressive. The house in Sherba can offer 3 very comfortable apartments and 4 double rooms.

     

    In this part of the country you could combine hunting with family’s vacation (different cultural programs) and it would be one really unforgettable experience.

  • TERVEL // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon, small game, predators

    The hunting enterprise maintains 14 801 ha of forests, situated in the middle of Dobrudzha and Varna plateaus, about 500 km from Sofia Airport and 100 km from Varna Airport. The relief is plain to hilly, with deep dry gullies; the forest composition is mainly of Turkey oak and common locust. The lowest point is in “Suha reka” countryside - 80 m and the highest point is in “Kjostata” area - 250 m.

    The main representatives of the big game species are: red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar and mouflon. Hare, pheasant and partridge represent small game species.

    The most widely spread predators are jackal, fox, wildcat, beech marten etc. The best trophies obtained during the last hunting seasons are red deer – 11.750 kg, evaluated to 224.73 CIC points, fallow deer – 4.775 kg, evaluated to 197.18 CIC points and roe deer – 470 g, evaluated to 117.35 CIC points.

    The new hunting lodge is situated near the village Valchi dol and has 7 rooms, a living room with fireplace and a pool for the summer months. There is a lake nearby, where the guests can have rest and go fishing.

  • TUMRUSH // wild boar, mouflon ram, red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, capercaillie, brown bear, chamoise, wolf

    The hunting area TUMRUSCH is situated in the Middle Northern Rhodopes and covers a total area of 10.000 ha. The terrain is typical mountainous, rugged and uneven in some parts. The elevation above sea level starts from about 400 m and goes up to 2000 m. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory and 90% of them are coniferous forests.

     

    Red deer, wild boar, mouflon, chamois, capercaillie, roe deer, fallow deer are successfully hunted in the region. The tusker trophies are especially valuable.

     

    TUMRUSCH offers 1 hunting lodge with 5 double rooms and excellent service.

    Their own farm supplys the kitchen with fresh and ecological meat and vegetables.

  • VITINIA // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, mouflon, fallow deer, tibetian yak, predators, small game

    In the past the region was a paradise for the hunters. VITINIA is situated northeast of Sofia in the Balkan Mountains and spreads over a total area of 15.000 ha. 30 min are needed to cover the 40 km distance from the airport to the hunting lodge. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory. The mixed deciduous forests (oak and beech) predominate. The terrain is rolling-to-mountainous.

     

    The region was popular with the red deer, wild boar and roe deer game stock. And now it is rich only in wild boar game. The region arranges one of the best driven hunts here in Bulgaria. But the fact that excellent pheasant hunts are organized here is not so well-known. The best hunting season is from the end of September to the end of February. Groups of 2 to 6 hunters stalk with dogs.

     

    The hunting lodge offers much comfort. 6 double rooms with shower/WC are available.

  • VITOSCHKO // red deer, wild boar, roe deer, brown bear, mouflon ram, fallow deer, wolf, small game

    The VITOSCHKO region, with a total area of 19 850 ha lies in the Vitosha Mountain southwest of Sofia. 45 min are needed to cover the distance between the airport and the hunting lodge. Forests cover 12 595 ha. The deciduous trees are predominant. The agricultural fields cover a high percentage of the land as well. The terrain is mountainous. The average elevation above sea level is 1 350 m.

     

    VITOSCHKO was the favourite hunting ground of the ex party leader Todor Zhivkov. The biotope is ideal for the diversity and growth of the game species. Red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, mouflon, brown bear, roe deer and predatory animals (wild cat, jackal, fox) are hunted successfully in the region. But we want to draw your attention to the roe buck and tusker hunt.

     

    The hunting lodge is very large and luxurious and offers superb service and catering. The Todor Zhivkov's apartment is already renovated and can accommodate any guest.

  • VODEN // red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, wisent, roe deer

    VODEN, the best Bulgarian hunting area is a source of game stock in our country. It has its own price list that can be found in "Offers" under the name of "Arrangement Voden".

     

    The region has the surface of 15.000 ha. From it 14 000 ha are deciduous forests (mainly oak and beech) and 1 000 are agricultural fields. The terrain is flat-to-rolling with an average elevation above sea level 350 m.

     

    The great number of big game on such small territory is based on the abundance of food.

     

    Red and fallow deer, mouflon, wild boar, bison and also predatory animals (fox, jackal and wildcat) are widely distributed here. The best fallow buck trophies are shot in Voden. It is quite realistic to expect trophies of 4.5 to 5 kg. Voden is also the only hunting ground where European bison can be hunted.

     

    Very successful are the selective hunts for red deer (stags, hinds, fawns).

     

    VODEN has 4 hunting lodges available: the first lodge is very large and is often used for conferences and seminars. The other three hunting lodges are very luxurious and roomy. That just must be seen. The service and catering in all lodges are superb.

  • ZHENDA // mouflon, red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, roe deer

    The state hunting area ZHENDA is named after the Rhodopean village Zhenda and is situated 259 km from the capital Sofia and less than 100 km from Kroumovo Airport near Plovdiv. The total area is 16.118 ha, the relief is low mountainous, crossed by numerous gullies. The ridges are smooth, the slopes are very steep and rocky. The altitude varies from 400 to 1 100 m. Woodlands cover 95% of the whole territory and the deciduous forests predominate.

     

    Red deer, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, roe deer are successfully hunted in the region. The population of the mouflon sheep is very good. The driven hunts are very good organized and the success quote is very good.

     

    Two hunting lodges – ZHENDA and BOLYARTSI, maintained to very high standards, have been built in the territory of the hunting area and offers excellent service. Each room has shower/WC.

     

    To relax after hunting, the hosts offer their guests visits to ZHENDA reserve, natural landmarks and to the ruins of the ancient Thracian fortress “Perperikon”.
